Tenkura Mahjong
Authentic Japanese riichi mahjong with a clear table and a focus on correct rules. Designed for solo practice first, then local party play and online matchmaking on Steam.
Design goals
Much of the Steam catalog is either stylized mobile-style presentation or incomplete rule implementations. Tenkura Mahjong aims for a readable, authentic table that holds up offline and with friends.
Accessible entry
Clear layout, steady pace, and structured teaching for calls, yaku, scoring, and common pitfalls such as furiten.
Offline strength
High-quality solo play against AI before online features become a dependency.
Multiplayer path
Local and private party modes first; online quick play after the core experience is stable. Steam is the intended release channel.
Status
The project is in early development. Interface and table foundations are in progress. There is no public download at this time.
